Moisturizing Body Lotion for Babies with Eczema

The dry, itchy skin related to eczema is a common concern for many moms. When my son, Josiah was born, his pediatrician noted that the red crusty bumps on my son’s body may worsen, scar and flare up for the rest of his life. He recommended a few products like Aveeno, Cetaphil, Aquaphor, or Eucerin. I didn’t want to use harsh chemicals and sought the natural route that could end this skin condition once and for all.

My cousin, Shalini, recommended Babo Botanicals Oatmilk Calendula Moisturizing Baby Lotion and it worked like a charm! I use this moisturizing baby lotion whenever I take him out.

My mom also researched and found out some ingredients that could heal this skin condition for newborn babies. She made a moisturizing lotion using organic chamomile flowers, organic calendula flowers, organic coconut oil, organic vitamin E oil and organic shea butter. I use this homemade body lotion for Josiah as a massage oil and also apply at least 3 times daily. The eczema, redness and dry skin diminished immediately and hasn’t shown up since. Praying specifically for Josiah’s eczema was also helpful. I will share those prayers and post how to make the homemade moisturizing lotion in an upcoming blogpost.
